Telesforo (Ted) Del Valle, Jr. is a Criminal Defense Lawyer with over 39 years of practice experience in both Federal and State criminal cases. He is rated with an A V rating by Martindale Hubbell and is listed in Super Lawyers. He is a member of the Bar of the State of New York; a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court; member of the Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York; member of the Bar for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and a member of the Federal Bar for the State of Connecticut.

Mr. Del Valle is past President of the Hispanic National Bar Association for the New York region, former President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, Vice President of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a former member for twelve years of the Grievance Committee for the New York State Appellate Division, First Department. Mr. Del Valle is also the former member of the Mayor’s Committee on the Judiciary for the City of New York, and also former member for ten years of the Judiciary Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Del Valle is a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a life member of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a life member of the New York Criminal Bar Association. Mr. Del Valle is also a member of the United States Magistrate Judge’s Merit Selection Panel.

Telesforo Del Valle, Jr. has received several awards and recognitions including an award from New York Law School for Outstanding Service to the Legal Profession; an award from the U.S. Justice Sector Reform Program (Plan Colombia); Top Ten Attorney award from the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys; Commitment to Diversity Award from the Association of Judges of Hispanic

Heritage; The Diversity Millennium Award from the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission on Minorities.

Mr. Del Valle is a highly experienced Federal Criminal Defense lawyer who has represented several Defendants throughout the State of New York and the United States including, Puerto Rico, Florida, Oklahoma, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nevada, Missouri, New Mexico, and Texas.

Mr. Del Valle has been a frequent lecturer and panelist for the American Bar Association on the topic of Legal Ethics; as well as a panelist on Legal Ethics at the Brooklyn Bar Association, and for the Character and Fitness Committee at the New York County Lawyers Association, as well as a lecturer on various criminal litigation topics for the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
